Well the last Nokia Phones were only middleclass at best, but rumors say that HMD is working on a Nokia Android Flagship, called Nokia 9.

Well as mentioned the latest Nokia Phones were all below the 300€ mark, so they can’t quite be considered highend, but the latest leaks show that HMD Global is currently working on a Nokia flagship device. The Nokia 9 , that’s what it might be called, will feature real good tech including an iris scanner and audio features by Nokia Ozo. NokiaPowerUser has also leaked some of the alleged specs for the Nokia 9 :

And the list goes on suggesting that the Nokia 9 might even feature the Carl-Zeiss camera that we learned to love in previous devices. All in all this actually sounds to good to be true and we can’t confirm any of those leaks yet. It looks like we have to wait for future more reliable leaks.

With just a few weeks away we’re pretty hyped for MWC and especially what Nokia will show off.

Thanks to a leak from a chinese patent office we now know that the famous „NSeries“ name has been trademarked again. This leads to the assumption that Nokia might relaunch the famous and loved series of Devices.

I personally would love to see a new set of N-Series devices from Nokia since i’ve used and loved the N97 and N9 devices back in the day. Unfortunately apart from this document and tghe picture below we know nothing about the upcoming lineup but we hope to see something at MWC 2017. When they really have a new N-Series as a flagship, I will definitely go back to Nokia.

Earlier today, HMD responded to an E-Mail from Nokiapoweruser.com , saying that they would always try to use the latest OS for Nokia Smartphones.

Well that is quite something. Most Companies take ages to deliver the latest OS after it’s release. HMD now said that they will try to use the latest Android OS version to ensure the safest OS. Well that is note quite a promise but we will know more around MWC and later on. To quote HMD:

Thanks for the mail and love to see your readers’ interests on our Android smartphones. Our ambition is to always use the latest and safest Android OS. That also includes provide timely updates. We will have more to share in first half of 2017. Stay tuned.

So we can expect quite a bit from HMD and Nokia this year and as i mentioned in another post, it might mean that I’ll go back. We just need to wait for MWC 2017.

So there is another Video out there showcasing the new Nokia P1 , which might surface during MWC 2017.

So according to the Video we see a nice rear facing 22.3 MP Camera with a 3 LED Flash, a big screen and a home-button. The device doesn’t seem to feature a removable Battery so i am going to assume it could be water- and/or dustproof. The SIM-card tray also offers the option to add a SD-Card . We also see the 3.5mm headphone jack as well as USB Type C ports at the bottom of the phone. Concept Creator (the uploader of the Video) predicts 3 color optio0ns as well.

In terms of specs the video tells uns that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 that will be backed up by an enormous 6 GB of RAM. The Nokia P1 is stated to have a massive 256 GB storage and the screen size should be at 5.3″

If all of these specs and designs are true and the price is right… I guess I’ll be going back to my roots.

Well and here is what you’ve been waiting for, samples taken with the Nokia Lumia 735.

The Camera that is in the Lumia 735 might not have the highest specs, but the pictures are definitely worth showing. I’ve taken a few pictures from a moving Vehicle, just standing in a Park and also a couple of Selfies (and one Group Selfie which has been edited in favor of the people shown in it.). But without more words, here is said Gallery.

The next step on our quest through the imaging World of Nokia, is the Lumia Selfie App. Let’s check what features it has to offer.

Even though I don’t like selfies ( I even dislike that word), we’re now going to check out the Lumia Selfie app on the Nokia Lumia 735. Before we’re going into the software let’s remember the Hardware that has been built in this device. The front facing camera has a 5MP Sensor with f/2.4 and a wide-angle lens, as well as 1080p Video Resolution. That is why the phone got nicknamed Selfie in the first place. So knowing that we’re now checking the app itself. At first glance everything looks like a regular UI for a front facing camera, the magic happens after you press the button.

The Selfie app has built in picture enhancement options, besides the regular red-eye correction and filters it also has… face correction. The picture above shows me before I started playing around with the digital surgery.

And now we see what happens when you play around with that Device. You can correct your Eyes, chin and even put a smile on your face afterwards. I think this is pretty neat. Of course after you’re done with it you can instantly share it to your preferred social media or just upload it to OneDrive for your personal enjoyment. So I’m really excited about this one, today we’re gonna take a closer look the Lumia Camera App(at the point of filming it was called Nokia Camera in my Phone, update happend 5 min later), in the Nokia Lumia 735 and see what we can do with it.

So let’s continue our video series on the Nokia Lumia 735 with a closer look at its camera features. In the device we find 2 camera apps, one is the stock windows phone camera and the other is Nokia’s own Lumia Camera app, which is a lot more advanced and that’s why we’re looking into this one. As you can see at first glance it looks just like a regular camera app with a button for video, burst and regular photos, but the magic happens in the top center, where you can adjust every setting of the camera to your preferences, or just leave it at auto. The options also include an enhanced shutter time, which allows you to draw with a light source and make incredible pictures that way. I personally like to leave everything at auto, since I’m not a professional, but with the Nokia Lumia 735, it’s up to you if you want to mess around with the white balance or brightness, just go ahead and do it.

In the first edition of App of the Week , I will show you an App called Mix Radio. It was developed by Nokia and is now an essential part of Windows Phone, but a Beta is already live for Android and iOS.

Today is a first here on our humble little Blog. I present you my first choice as App of the Week: Mix Radio. The app was originally called Nokia Mix Radio and was developed by them as well, now it is still part of the Nokia and Lumia world but the developers and other personnel are a little more independent. I had the chance to speak to some of them at the IFA in Berlin in 2014.

Mix Radio is a music streaming service that allows you to put together your own mixes with artists that you like. You choose three artists and the App does the rest and also checks for similar artists to make your mix longer and more enjoyable. You could also just select one that already exists, they’re split up into genres and times and provide a good way to find new music to enjoy. The variety of genres and artists is almost endless, I have not yet searched for anything that I couldn’t find. If those are no reasons for you to say „well yeah he’s right, this could be real competition to others“, listen to this. Mix Radio is completely free and without any ads, that also includes the option to save up to 4 mixes on your device and use it in offline mode. On our little journey through the mysterious world of Windows Phone 8, we’re now encountering a nice new friend. Say Hello to Cortana.

At first I need to say that Cortana is still under development and, as you can see in the corner of the screen, is a Beta-version at this point, so don’t expect it to work instantly like Siri. So with that said, let’s move on to the real topic here. What/Who is cortana and what are here capabilities?The name Cortana originates in Microsoft’s Video Game series „Halo“, where cortana is the artificial intelligence that guides the main protagonist through the game, although our Cortana here does not posses her set of skills, she is still really helpful and fun to be around. The main features that the Voice assistant offers are web searches, check ins, location questions, jokes, reminders and so on. It offers the base features that all voice assistant apps provide so far, but with a nice and friendly voice, unlike Samsung’s S Voice. I’m really excited what will happen in the future and if we’re soon able to have conversations with Cortana the way we can interact with Siri, but that might have to wait until Windows 10 or later, but nevertheless I’m stoked on what will happen. Let’s just take a break from Android, and look at this orange beauty, the Nokia Lumia 735.

Today we’re going to check out what we find when receiving the Nokia Lumia 735, or what we should receive for that matter, but more on that in the Video below. The Lumia 735 is one of the last Devices with the Nokia branding and was first revealed back at IFA in 2014. The device got nicknamed „Selfie“ since that’s what it was made for. In the front it features a 5MP wide-angle lens with Full HD video resolution, which makes a great companion for skype too. The 4.7-inch screen is a little small for my taste and could’ve been bigger given the dimensions of the device, but well it is a mid-range Device after all.

Another notable feature of the Nokia Lumia 735 is the removable back cover and also the removable battery, which reveals a NanoSIM card Slot and a MicroSD card slot. A full detailed review will be up in a few days, until then we’re going in on some of the noteable soft- and hardware aspects of the device. And now enough of the words, here is the promised video.
