Back at IFA 2016 we’ve seen a couple of Fossil watches, also from Michael Kors, and all of those will now receive Android Wear 2.0

Fossil has been a big name in the jewelery scene, and since last year they are also in the smartwatch business. The Watches from Fossil are running Android Wear and are designed by the company itself, and for the more fashionista people the company has teamed up with Michael Kors to produce a wider range of watches for multiple People. Now the company has announced that all their Fossil watches will get the Update to Android Wear 2.0. It will start with the Fossil Q Founder that will get the Update Mid-march. Who of you rocks one of those and could tell us when the Update will finally be there?

A new Smartwatch has just been released by the shoe company New Balance, teh RunIQ.

Well some of you might know the company New Balance for making footwear, but now they stepped up their game and released an Android Wear smartwatch. As you can imagine the wearable is strongly designed towards fitness lovers.

Now lets take a look at the specs. The processor is an Intel Atom that will be backed up by 512MB of Ram and have 4 GB of storage. The watchface is round and has a 1.39 inch AMOLED Display. IT’s equipped with a GPS Sensor and a heart-rate monitor. If you inted to use this watch while swimming don’t woory, it’s water resistant up until 5ATM , which is about 50 meters or 5 bar and new Balance claims that the battery will last for 24 hours.

New Balance also provides the Starva App for the watch , but any other Android wear fitness App will work with the RunIQ. A nice feature is that you can download a Playlist onto the Watch and connect bluetooth headphones, so you don’Ät have to bring your phone to the pool or while on a run. The Run IQ is awailable from Amazon at $299 .

So with MWC around the Corner we get to see new Stuff everyday. Today Even Blass aka evleaks showed first Images of the LG Watch Style

Alongside with teh new Android wear 2.0 we will see a bunch of new Watches. The first appearance makes the LG Watch Style. It’s one of two Smartwatches that LG will give us this year, but it’s larger Brother , the Watch Sport, has not really been pictured yet.

The wearable will come in 3 colour options, 2 of them are shown on the Image below, Silver and rose gold. I personally hope that teh third Option will be black. Blass did not tell much about the watch, other than the Colours, but there are quite some rumors around the Specs. According to thos the Watch will feature a 1.2″ P-OLED Display with a resolution of 360 x 360 px, 4 GB Storage, 512 MB Ram and a IP67 rating. The Battery is supposed to have 240 mAh, which sounds small but actually is quite good for a Watch.

The Sport Variant of the watch is rumored to have more RAM and is supposed to be a bit bigger. The Numbers are 736 MB Ram, 430 mAH Battery and a 1.38″ Screen with a 480 x 480 Resolution.

According to Blass we will have official Data in less then two Weeks, since it might be that LG will announce those Devices ahead of MWC 2017, on February 9th.

It’s been two months since it was unveiled, now the LG G Watch Urbane will finally hit the Stores.

It’s been two month now since LG unveiled the upper-class brother of the G Watch R, the G Watch Urbane with the slick gold or silver bezel instead of the black chronograph-type bezel on the G Watch R and earlier today the korean company announced that the LG G Watch Urbane will be hitting Google’s online shelfs in South Korea this week and in twelve other markets within the rest of this months. Unfortunately this news comes without a price Tag, but it’s estimated to be higher than the G Watch R’s price Tag, which is around $300.

In terms of specs, both watches are identical, with the same 1.3 inch screen, 4GB storage and the Snapdragon 400 CPU, differences are only the cosmetics. And the fact that the G Watch Urbane will be the first smartwatch to ship with the brand new Android Wear 5.1, which was announced last monday. Android Wear 5.1 will bring a few new features to wearables, such as WiFi support, always-on apps as well as some interface changes.

In the past few weeks I got the chance to try out the LG G Watch R, and here are my thoughts.

At the bottom of this post I will share a video on the Watch with you but first let me type a few words. My last few weeks with this wearable device were pretty great. First things first, the design. The LG G Watch R features a nice round 1.3″ P-OLED Display with stunning colors and has a chronograph like ring around it, on the side you got a little nose to lock and unlock the display as well as powering up or down the Watch. On the back you find the heart-rate monitor as well as the connector for the charging plate. The wristband is made from genuine leather (excuse the mistake in the Video please ;)). The Device is very light and feels great while wearing it.

The technical aspects are that the Device is powered by a 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and has 4GB of internal storage, the 410 mAh battery stays with you for at least a day and is charged very quickly, even if you just use the USB Port of your Computer. The LG G Watch R runs the latest Android Wear OS allowing it to work with any Android powered Device as long as it has the Android Wear Application installed. The Software allows you to read and answer Texts and Mails directly from your Wrist with the integrated Microphone and the „Ok Google“ Feature. With this Feature you can also start a navigation or get your fitness Apps displayed.

In my Opinion the LG G Watch R is a great companion for people who want a Smartwatch that looks like an actual Watch and with a great Battery.
