In the US the new Lenovo Yoga A12 Tablet has just been announced and it looks a lot like a Yoga Book.

In the Picture above we can see the new Lenovo Yoga A12 that has just been announced in the US. If you think you’ve seen this before, than it might be true since it has a very strong resemblance to the Yoga Book that has been launched during IFA 2016 back in september.

The Yoga A12 uses the same Halo Keyboard but does not feature the option to remove the keyboard and use the surface fur a tylus or a notepad. This is not the only difference between the two. The other details are hidden in the specs and the fact that the Lenovo Yoga A12 is not available with another OS than Android, which in this cas is just Android 6.0 and no information on any Updates.

But let’s look at the specs first:

  • 12,2 inch IPS-Display with a resolution of 1.280 x 800 Pixel
  • Intel Atom x5-Z8550 Quad-Core-SoC with up to 2,4 GHz
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 32 GB internal Memory, SD-Card is an Option
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow
  • HD-Webcam
  • WLAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/GLONASS
  • microUSB- and USB Typ-C-connectors, 3,5 mm Headphonejack
  • Stereo-Speaker with Dolby Atmos-support
  • 10.500 mAh battery with up to 15 hours of usage time
  • Dimensions: 228 x 208 x 10,9 mm
  • 1060 grams heavy

Well those sound quite good but can’t compete with the Yoga Book though, this is why the A12 is not a follow-up to the Yoga Book but it’s his own productline. The Device will be available in 2 colors and will cost $299 , so we can expect a european price of around 300€ as well, might be a bit more though. Here are some more shots of both available color Options.
