Well, Selfies are getting more popular these days, so more manufacturers are producing selfie-Phones, now Asus has joined as well, with the Asus ZenFone Selfie.

ASUS-ZenFone-Selfie

So when thinking about Selfies, a word I strongly dislike to be honest, phones capable of taking those properly, a few devices come to my mind, first the HTC Desire Eye and the Nokia Lumia 735, which we checked out some time ago. But now a new competitor from Taiwan joins the market of phones with exceptional front facing cameras. The Asus ZenFone Selfie features a 13 Megapixel front facing camera with a 88 degree wide angle lense with f/2.2 and a dual-tone flash. The back facing cameras also comes with 13 MP and the dual-tone flash, but features f/2.0 and a laser auto-focus (which we didn’t see in the ZenFone 2).

In terms of other hardware information the Asus ZenFone Selfie is almost identical to the ZenFone 2. It offers the same 5.5 inch FullHD LCD Display with corning Gorilla Glass 4 and the same curved backside. But there is one thing they changed in the new Device, the Processor. Instead of using an Intel core again, Asus decided to go with a Qualcomm mid-range octa-core Processor , the Snapdragon 615.

So if you’re into taking a lot of pictures of yourself and you don’t mind a 5.5 inch Phone, so keep an eye out for the Asus ZenFone Selfie. Unfortunately we don’t know anything about availability or pricing yet, but as soon as we know we will inform you.
