Back at IFA 2016 we’ve seen a couple of Fossil watches, also from Michael Kors, and all of those will now receive Android Wear 2.0

Fossil has been a big name in the jewelery scene, and since last year they are also in the smartwatch business. The Watches from Fossil are running Android Wear and are designed by the company itself, and for the more fashionista people the company has teamed up with Michael Kors to produce a wider range of watches for multiple People. Now the company has announced that all their Fossil watches will get the Update to Android Wear 2.0. It will start with the Fossil Q Founder that will get the Update Mid-march. Who of you rocks one of those and could tell us when the Update will finally be there?

A new Smartwatch has just been released by the shoe company New Balance, teh RunIQ.

Well some of you might know the company New Balance for making footwear, but now they stepped up their game and released an Android Wear smartwatch. As you can imagine the wearable is strongly designed towards fitness lovers.

Now lets take a look at the specs. The processor is an Intel Atom that will be backed up by 512MB of Ram and have 4 GB of storage. The watchface is round and has a 1.39 inch AMOLED Display. IT’s equipped with a GPS Sensor and a heart-rate monitor. If you inted to use this watch while swimming don’t woory, it’s water resistant up until 5ATM , which is about 50 meters or 5 bar and new Balance claims that the battery will last for 24 hours.

New Balance also provides the Starva App for the watch , but any other Android wear fitness App will work with the RunIQ. A nice feature is that you can download a Playlist onto the Watch and connect bluetooth headphones, so you don’Ät have to bring your phone to the pool or while on a run. The Run IQ is awailable from Amazon at $299 .

In the past few weeks I got the chance to try out the LG G Watch R, and here are my thoughts.

At the bottom of this post I will share a video on the Watch with you but first let me type a few words. My last few weeks with this wearable device were pretty great. First things first, the design. The LG G Watch R features a nice round 1.3″ P-OLED Display with stunning colors and has a chronograph like ring around it, on the side you got a little nose to lock and unlock the display as well as powering up or down the Watch. On the back you find the heart-rate monitor as well as the connector for the charging plate. The wristband is made from genuine leather (excuse the mistake in the Video please ;)). The Device is very light and feels great while wearing it.

The technical aspects are that the Device is powered by a 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and has 4GB of internal storage, the 410 mAh battery stays with you for at least a day and is charged very quickly, even if you just use the USB Port of your Computer. The LG G Watch R runs the latest Android Wear OS allowing it to work with any Android powered Device as long as it has the Android Wear Application installed. The Software allows you to read and answer Texts and Mails directly from your Wrist with the integrated Microphone and the „Ok Google“ Feature. With this Feature you can also start a navigation or get your fitness Apps displayed.

In my Opinion the LG G Watch R is a great companion for people who want a Smartwatch that looks like an actual Watch and with a great Battery.
