With the release of the new Windows, there will also be a new mobile OS, with a „new“ name, it will be called Windows 10 for Mobile instead of Windows Phone.

According to Dr.Windows (a german Windows help Site) the new name has been unveiled at the Windows Ignite conference in Chicago. Why exactly they changed the name from Windows Phone 10 to Windows for Mobile 10 is not entirely clear. I must say I prefered Windows Phone, simply because it sounds nice and you can easily shorten it to WP10 or WP in general, which is not so easy with the new name, which would be something like WfM10… I think that sounds ridiculous, but that is just my opinion. And well a name is just a name in the end and we need to see what the new product will be offering us, as soon as it’s released.
