Well after the Problems with the Note 7, Samsung might look for Help from Sony for the Batteries for the Galaxy S8.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Samsung might look for a third battery supplier for the Galaxy S8. The Batteries will be supplied by Samsung’s own SDI and, due to the huge amount of devices that samsung plans to produce, Sony and LG. Another Reason for using 3 suppliers might be to make sure that the batteries for the Galaxy S8 and S8 plus will be safe. All three batteries will go thtough the new checks that Samsung has come up with, that include an 8-step programm for safety reasons.

We will keep our eyes on Samsung during the MWC and await an announcement toward the event for the Galaxy S8.
